Anishka, a senior at Santa Clara High School, has been in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (SLI) since 7th-grade. Through all the opportunities SLI has provided her, Tech Challenge, FLL, and Project Invent, to name a few, Anishka has discovered her passion for technology to find solutions to real-life problems. She plans to major in biomedical engineering, with the possibility of continuing to medical school. During the last few summers, Anishka volunteered at multiple organizations to tutor students of various age groups and backgrounds. Serving as the Director of Curriculum at a student-run non-profit organization, Connected Learning, Anishka managed a team of high school students to produce a summer curriculum for over 20 subjects. She also taught more than five subjects, ranging from chemistry to geometry, to over 50 students.
Anishka also participated in a summer internship at My Digital Tat2, in which she engaged in discussions on current social media trends to educate students and professionals on their digital footprint. Anishka takes rigorous school courses, participates in several clubs, and plays on the school volleyball team. Anishka enjoys playing cards and board games with her family, baking & cooking, and playing the piano in her free time.
