BIOGRAPHY

In addition to his work with robotics and tech with the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (SLI) program, Humza has worked as a high school intern in Touni Orthodontics, where he shadowed procedures in orthodontics and learned basic tasks within the office. Humza has also worked as a volunteer at Hidaya Foundation throughout his high school years, where he helps organize shipments to developing countries in need. In addition to these experiences, he participates in the high school track and field team and cross country team. In his free time, Humza frequently listens to music, plays the guitar, and plays soccer.

Created a single player skiing game that was displayed at the San Diego Tech Conference as a Representative of Magnolia Science Academy

FIRST Tech Challenge, 2017-18

Built a robot to fulfill the 2017-18 season's requirements and entered a couple Qualification Rounds (QR)

Analyzing Fat Content

Science Fair, 2017

Sought to isolate the fat within food to prove or disprove a hypothesis and to solve a problem.

AWARDS & PROJECTS

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, Chevron, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
