Jenna is a passionate, driven student who has been in the 49ers Stem Leadership Institute for six years. Throughout her time in the program, Jenna has shown a deep interest in engineering as a 5 year participant in FIRST robotics competitions, for which she was awarded the title of Dean’s List Finalist, a recognition of individual excellence. Over her high school career, Jenna has developed a love and curiosity for biology which she has demonstrated through her advanced study of epigenetics and immunology. Jenna is incredibly excited about studying bioengineering in the future, because of the fast-paced, impactful, and fascinating nature of the field. As a student, she is motivated by her love of learning. As a person, she strives to make the world a better place and is unafraid to take the initiative to do so. Over the past five years, Jenna has given back to the 49ers SLI Program in an effort culminating with her role as the lead of the first SLI Student Leadership Committee. Here, she works to mentor younger students, design engineering curriculum, and further improve the program for future cohorts. In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her younger siblings and parents or outdoors.
