A passionate and dedicated student, Marjorie appreciates the many opportunities and experiences that she's had during her six years in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute. Through various competitions such as ExploraVision, Tech Challenge, and FIRST Tech Challenge, she has learned ways to collaborate with diverse groups and balance her personal life with demanding workloads. Passion drives her to confidently share ideas, utilize her talents and skills, and showcase projects to groups of people.
Outside of her academic life, Marjorie has played for the school’s tennis team since sophomore year, participating in Doubles 1 and Singles 4. Her experience in the courts has also honed her skills as a team player. She is also known for her creativity in the arts such as collage making, drawing, painting, and design, all of which have taught her how to focus and to be attentive to details. Marjorie had also participated in a Filipino American Student Association club also known as FASA since her freshman year. She enjoys sharing her culture by performing dances like tinikling during club fairs and serving food like lumpia.
