Aaina has been a dedicated member of the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute for the past six years. She has used the program as an opportunity to explore her interests in the science field which has evolved from food chemistry to medicinal sciences. As an SLI student, Aaina has worked on various projects, including being a Co-Founder of a program, Biomedical Youth Labs which is an upcoming nonprofit. The program’s mission aims to bridge educational gaps in the sciences for underresourced children between K-12.

Beyond SLI, Aaina has taken on numerous leadership roles including serving as captain of the Girl’s Tennis Team and being Co-President of multiple clubs. Her passion for her cultural exploration is seen in her roles as Co-President of the Indian Student Association and a Modern Bollywood Dance Team, SCHS Jashan. Aaina has also given back to her community by volunteering as an escort at Kaiser Permanente and as a teacher’s assistant during summer school at Central Park Elementary.

In her free time, Aaina is usually cooking, baking, or spending time with her loved ones. She hopes to further her academic interests by majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology.
