Samantha was born in the Philippines and moved to California when she was 5 years old. With an interest in computers since she was little, she took it upon herself to begin learning how to code in elementary school. Since then, Samantha has learned coding languages such as Java and C++.
In addition to pursuing her passion for tech and participating in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute, Samantha works as a student journalist and has been involved in Santa Clara High School's journalism course for the past four years. She is currently an editor and photographer for her school newspaper.
Additionally, she is an active volunteer at her church and has assisted in youth catechism classes since 2013, finding joy in helping children every Sunday.
In her free time Samantha likes to play on her computer and hang out with friends.
