Being in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute for 6 years since 7th grade, Timothy has learned numerous skills such as leadership, engineering, and teambuilding skills. Timothy has always had a passion for engaging in STEM subjects by participating in Maker Faire, First Tech Challenge, and Project Invent. As Timothy is always striving to challenge himself, he has taken many rigorous courses at his high school–including five AP courses in his junior year. From exposing himself to STEM subjects and taking all the computer science classes in his high school, Timothy dreams of pursuing a computer science major in college.

 

Timothy also takes part in the school community by being a Link Leader, dedicated to supporting the incoming freshmen at Santa Clara High School. Timothy values the opportunity to help others, and will go out of his way to make his community a more welcoming place. Outside of school, Timothy also has a passion for music, having played the piano for 12 years. He has earned the advanced level award for the Certificate of Merit in California, and has also received the Paderewski Gold Medal for 10 years of Guild Auditions.
