As a student in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute at Santa Clara High School for the past six years, Vuong has built a strong passion for technology and engineering, having been exposed to a number of STEM-based competitions and digital fabrication tools such as laser cutters and 3-D printers. In addition to participating in the program, he has learned interpersonal and work-related skills, including leadership, public speaking, and time management through the rigorous AP classes (Computer Science Principles, Calculus BC, Chemistry, etc.) that he has taken. Vuong also runs for his school's cross country team, markets for the Daily Source, and is part of management for the Political Forum Club, which he co-founded. With the internships and community service that he is currently doing, he hopes to strengthen the skills he has as well as develop new ones in order to one day accomplish his dream of majoring in engineering and becoming a household name in the tech industry. When Vuong’s not pursuing his goals, you can find him watching a good movie or hanging out with friends.
