As a senior in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute, Akul has participated in FIRST Tech Challenge robotics for 3 years with Team Deja Vu and Team Xcavators. After many years with Boy Scouts, he currently working towards the Eagle rank. Professionally, he would like to pursue data science or computational linguistics. He has had two internships throughout high school: one with a start up and another with NASA's Aviation Systems Division. He likes following consumer technology and imagining what the future might look like. In addition to his academic and STEM pursuits, he also plays varsity tennis for his school. In his free time, Akul likes to bike, watch movies, play video games, and go to the park.
