BIOGRAPHY

Anjali is a passionate student driven by a deep interest in biotechnology and genomics. Over her six years with STEM, she has pursued countless projects dedicated to helping her community.
She co-founded Biomedical Youth Labs, an initiative that makes advanced science activities more accessible to young scientists. As part of Project Invent, she worked on Vechtr to engineer a device that helps visually impaired individuals locate critical objects in unfamiliar environments. Beyond STEM, Anjali served as president of the Rivermark Gavel Club, her local Toastmasters chapter, where she helped young speakers develop confidence.
An outdoor enthusiast, Anjali has made it her goal to visit all 63 U.S. national parks and has already explored 24. She shares her love for nature by leading her school’s Hiking Club, introducing students to Bay Area trails and the joys of hiking!
Outside of being outdoors, Anjali has sung in choir for eight years, studied piano for seven, and played setter for SCHS’s volleyball team for four years, two of which were varsity.
Whether in the lab, on the trails, or performing on stage, Anjali thrives in spaces that challenge and inspire her.
