Daniel is a Senior at Santa Clara High School, who has developed a strong passion for teamwork, leadership, and technological innovation. Throughout his high school years, Daniel has been deeply involved in various extracurricular activities and community projects. As a Team Lead for the Newsletter group in the SLI Communications Team, he honed his skills in collaboration and project management, while also mentoring younger students in STEM fields. His role as Co-Founder and Vice President of the Hack Club at SCHS allowed him to share his love for coding and introduce students to opportunities in the tech world.

In addition to his leadership roles, Daniel has gained hands-on experience through internships and volunteer work. He served as a mentor for TechX, helping senior citizens navigate technology, and beta-tested AI-based learning applications during his internship at GTSchool. His accomplishments also include designing machine-learning projects, such as a wearable device for the visually impaired.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Daniel enjoys playing tennis and hiking. His future aspirations include pursuing a career in data science, where he can continue to innovate impactful projects.

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, Chevron, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
