Kaitlyn is a driven and open-minded student who has been a part of the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute for the past five years. Throughout her time in SLI, she has showcased her love for robotics, biomedical technology, and science by being an avid participant in FIRST robotics, Maker Faire, Synopsys Science Fair, and several other competitions.

Outside of SLI, Kaitlyn has dedicated her time to serving her community, co-leading Santa Clara High’s American Red Cross club and educating6 individuals about the importance of blood donations as part of the Blood Services Committee at the Silicon Valley American Red Cross chapter.

When she’s not volunteering with the American Red Cross, you can find her leading another initiative she co-founded in her sophomore year, Evolve. Through Evolve, Kaitlyn strives to help students navigate the complexities of finding their dream career by hosting guest lectures, career fairs, and workshops with industry experts from diverse fields. Aside from serving her community, she has a deep passion for chasing sunsets, baking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. In the future, Kaitlyn aspires to use her acquired knowledge from SLI to pursue a career in medicine, whether that be in biomedical engineering or oncology.
