BIOGRAPHY

Pranathi_Ravipati_Secondary - Pranathi Ravipati.jpg
Pranathi has been a student in SLI for six years. Throughout her time in the program, she has become more empathetic, communicative, and collaborative.

Pranathi participated in Project Invent in tenth grade, creating a hat that helps those who are visually impaired detect overhead objects, and has continued to work on the project with her group and their community partner through senior year.

Math is one of Pranathi’s favorite subjects, so she has volunteered as a math tutor since her freshman year of high school. While she plans to major in Applied Math in college, music is also a large part of Pranathi’s life. She has played the classical guitar since she was six years old and has been in her high school choir for four years.

In school, she has been a member of the Girls Who Code club for four years, and a board member for three of those. In her free time, she loves to read and spend time with family and friends.
The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, Chevron, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
