Within the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute, Stephanie has participated in Project Invent, where she worked with SCHS’s wellness center to develop a product for students with anxiety. After pitching to panelists, her group won the Explorer Award and received a grant from Sequoia Capital to continue their work. Later on, they filed for a provisional patent. Additionally, Stephanie has been a part of the 49ers SLI’s Communications Team, and assisted as the Co-Lead of the Photography Team.
In school, she has served as CSF’s Vice President and played on SCHS’s Badminton Team. On weekends, she attended a Vietnamese Catechism Class, where she helped fundraise for different non-profits, and also set up festival activities for students at DMLV Parish for the Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year. During the summer, she attended a summer program course at Stanford’s Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes for Surgical Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and completed a “shark-tank” style project for a barnacle-inspired, trauma wound glue.
In the future, Stephanie hopes to major in a field of engineering. In her free time, she enjoys taking photographs of new scenery, visiting dessert cafes, and cooking.
