BIOGRAPHY

Satveka Salgaocar is a high school senior passionate about STEM and medicine. She has gained valuable experience by shadowing a physician at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Palo Alto, where she observed patient care and the dynamics of a professional medical environment. Satveka enjoys seminars at Stanford, collaborating with medical residents to simulate medical codes and develop diagnostic techniques in high-pressure scenarios. At Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School, she participated in a pre-college program led by medical students, where she practiced essential clinical skills and worked with standardized patients to perform physical exams. These immersive experiences have solidified her interest in the intersection of science, healthcare, and technology.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Satveka is a co-founder of Biomedical Youth Labs, where she introduces middle school students to biomedical science through engaging workshops. Outside of school, she likes activities such as hiking and painting. As a part of hiking club, she has enjoyed being with her peers across new terrain and forming friendships. She is a competitive rower with Norcal Crew for 5+ years. Whether mentoring young students or exploring innovative ways to advance healthcare, Satveka hopes to create a positive impact in her community and beyond.
